“I just watched this movie and can’t say enough about it. It takes you through all your emotions, from funny to inspired. If you aren’t inspired to be unstoppable after viewing this movie, then you need to watch it again. Through this ‘Lifetime’ movie, (which it should be!) Jay Platt has the ability to make you want to give your best to the world, from reaching your goals to helping those less fortunate. Just the mention of his name makes you want to get out there and give it your all. This movie came at a perfect time in my life – which has been filled with uncertainty…it gave me direction and an “unstoppable” attitude. I was always like him – as he mentions in this movie – if someone tells me I can’t, I will. I lost that for a bit….thanks to Jay and this movie I got it back. Right after the last credits rolled I sat down and re-wrote my goals and now have a game plan for my life. Thank you, Jay, for yet another inspiration. From his speeches, to his books, to this movie…he continues to inspire and push you to reach for the stars and know that you can accomplish anything and truly be unstoppable! “This is an amazing film about an amazing man. Jay has shown us by his example, that no matter who we are, or what difficulties in life we have gone through, all of us can be better versions of ourselves and accomplish more than we ever thought possible. I was extremely blessed to be able to be there and see Jay swim across the Mississippi River. Believe me when I say that the river was very rough and fast moving that day. An exceptional swimmer who had the use of both arms, legs, and not being blindfolded, would’ve had much difficulty accomplishing this swim. And, as if swimming across the Mississippi River and the way he chose to do it wasn’t enough in itself, there is another challenge he had to deal with prior to his swim. About 9 weeks before he did it, Jay started experiencing severe and debilitating headaches and nausea from the tumor in his brain, and had to deal with this everyday leading up to the swim. A number of people told him that he should postpone the swim, including me, but Jay wouldn’t hear of it. As far as he was concerned, he’d made a commitment to the charities and other people, and was going to keep it NO MATTER WHAT! You’re an amazing man, Jay, and I feel so privileged to know you.” – C.
